This summer, Chisinau will once again become a key location on the European and global junior tennis map. From July to September, Moldova will host a series of international Tennis tournaments. Europe and ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors , where young players can gain important international experience, ranking points, and play against strong opponents from different countries.

It’s especially important that the majority of competitions this season will be held at the National Tennis Center. For athletes, this means greater comfort, clear infrastructure, high-quality courts, convenient training conditions, and the opportunity to play international matches virtually from home.

The summer international calendar will open with two ITF World tournaments. Tennis Tour Juniors J30 Chișinău Regatta Trophy (registration for the tournaments is available at itftennis.com). The first tournament starts on July 7 on the clay courts of the National Tennis Center, and the second on July 13. Both tournaments feature 32-player singles draws for boys and girls, qualifying, and doubles competitions. This is a significant opportunity for senior junior players to test themselves at the ITF Juniors level and begin their journey toward higher-level international tournaments.

After this, the Tennis series will take over Europe (registration for tournaments is carried out through the website tenniseurope.org).

The Regatta will be held at the National Tennis Center from July 27 to August 2. Junior Category 3 U14 Trophy . The tournament will be a logical continuation of the international Tennis training camp. Europe , which will also take place in Chisinau. For many players, this is the perfect combination: first a week of preparation in an international environment, then an official Tennis tournament. Europe .

The Regatta will take place from August 3rd to 9th. Junior Trophy U16 category 2, and from August 10 to 16 – Regata Junior Trophy U12 Category 2. This competition will be held on a clay court and will bring together players of all ages, from the very youngest participants to those gradually approaching the senior junior category.

At the end of summer and beginning of autumn, the international calendar will continue with the SG Junior series. Cup . From August 31 to September 6 at Arena Chișinău will host the U12 Category 2 tournament, followed by the SG Junior tournament from September 7 to 13 U14 Cup Category 2, and from September 14 to 20 – SG Junior U16 Cup category 2.

Thus, Moldovan players have a virtually unique opportunity to experience a busy international season without leaving the country. The calendar includes tournaments for U12, U14, U16, and ITF Senior Juniors (J30). This is precisely the path young athletes take as they gradually transition from national competitions to international competition.

Why is this important?

Because an international tournament isn’t just about points and net results. It’s about a new pace of play, new opponents, different styles, and a different match psychology. One player presses with power, another holds long rallies, a third plays unconventionally and forces quick decisions. It’s in matches like these that a young tennis player matures faster than in dozens of regular practices.

For Moldovan athletes, home tournaments are especially important. They don’t have to waste energy on flights, adaptation, changing conditions, or long travel. They can play with the support of their families, coaches, and fans. They can prepare peacefully on familiar courts while gaining valuable international experience.

Experience from previous years has already shown the importance of such competitions. Tennis tournaments The Europe and ITF tournaments in Moldova brought together players from different countries, giving our athletes the chance to compete for titles, compete in tough matches, and see how they compare to their European peers. For coaches, this is also an important opportunity: to assess the level of their players not in theory, but in real-life international competition.

The level of organization is especially noteworthy. In recent years, Moldova has become increasingly confident in hosting international tournaments, and the new National Tennis Center has become a major step forward for the country’s entire tennis community. Now, young players not only have the desire to compete but also a platform that meets the challenges of modern sport.

The Moldovan Tennis Federation invites players, coaches, and parents to closely monitor registration deadlines and submit their applications early. An international tournament at home is an opportunity that can’t be put off.

Great careers rarely begin on the big stage. More often, they begin just like that: with the first international match, the first tough opponent, the first victory over a player from another country, and the first sense that the next level is just around the corner.

This summer such a chance will be in Chisinau.
