The National tennis center’s summer complex is entering the finishing line

Today, another inspection of the progress of work to commission the summer section of the complex took place at the National Tennis Center of Moldova.

A key stage has already been completed: specialists from Madrid have completely laid the surface of all seven clay courts, applied lines, and installed nets. Currently, the surface is being compacted – the final process that determines the quality and playing characteristics of the courts.

At the same time, installation of the center court stands began. They will seat approximately 1,100 spectators and will become the main attraction during the tournament.

In the coming days, fencing installation, windbreak banners, and lighting completion are planned – lighting equipment is currently being installed on the already installed masts. Improvement zones are being created around the courts, with topsoil being laid for planting.

The summer court complex is becoming more and more complete with each passing day. Very soon, it will become a fully-fledged modern venue, ready to host international-level players and spectators.

As a reminder, the grand opening of the center will take place on May 23. Famous tennis players will attend the ceremony – Juan Martín del Potro and Simona Halep, who will play an exhibition match against Moldovan players Radu Albot and Lei Belibova, will also be participating in other exciting activities for spectators that day. And right after, on May 24, the ATP starts Challenger 100 Moldova The Open will last all week. The doubles and singles finals will be held on May 31.
