The Moldovan Tennis Federation, with the support of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of the Republic of Moldova, is organizing two international educational courses for coaches under the World Tennis program in Chisinau as part of the Olympic Solidarity program.
From October 1 to 4, 2026, the National Tennis Center will host the Play Tennis course, the first stage of the coaching education system. It is designed for those beginning their coaching career and planning to work primarily with beginner players and children. The program introduces participants to the fundamentals of tennis teaching, the basic principles of technique and tactics, and the organization of lessons and first competitions.
The next stage will be Coaching Beginner & Intermediate Players (CBI, formerly Level 1), which will be held from October 12 to 23, 2026. This is a more in-depth course to prepare coaches to work with beginner and intermediate players. The program covers the fundamental principles of training and player development, from the very beginning of tennis to the intermediate competitive level.
The course tutor will be Kenan Malicbegovic (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Instruction will be in English, Romanian, and Russian.
Applicants aged 16 and older are eligible to participate. No specialized education is required, but participants must have basic tennis skills, know the basic technical elements, and be able to demonstrate basic strokes.
The fee for Play Tennis is €120, and for CBI, €70.
The program has separate quotas: 2 spots for the Tennis School, 2 spots for Arena Chișinău, and 4 spots for the Scientific and Technical Center.
The total number of spots is limited.
