Today, a working inspection took place at the site of the summer section of the National Tennis Center of Moldova, with the participation of the President of the Moldovan Tennis Federation, Ceslav Ciuhrii, and leading Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot.

Work on the facility is being carried out actively and has already reached an advanced stage. At the moment, surfaces have been laid on four clay courts at various stages of completion. Preparatory work for laying surfaces is being finalized on the remaining three. High-quality clay is being used for construction, specially imported from Italy—similar to that used on the courts of Roland Garros.

Construction is being carried out by reinforced crews within tight deadlines. Contractors have been tasked with completing the court complex and preparing it for operation by May 1. After that, a test tournament is planned to assess the readiness of the entire summer infrastructure of the center, including playing conditions and organizational processes.

Following the inspection, Ceslav Ciuhrii noted the high pace and quality of the work, emphasizing that the project is entering its final stage of implementation.

Radu Albot, in turn, highly appreciated the significance of the new center for the development of tennis in the country. According to him, Moldova will soon have a modern base capable of becoming a point of attraction for both national players and international athletes and teams.

The National Tennis Center is being created as a fully modern infrastructure, providing comfortable conditions for training and hosting international tournaments.

Very soon, on May 23, its official opening will take place, with the participation of Simona Halep and Juan Martín del Potro, and already on May 24, the ATP Challenger 100 – Moldova Open will begin.
