The Tennis Federation of Moldova announces recruitment of boys and girls aged 10 to 14 to participate as ball kids at the biggest tennis events of this spring in Chișinău. The team is planned to consist of 50 participants.
Participants will work at the Moldova Open ATP Challenger 100 tournament, which will take place from May 24 to May 31, as well as at the Davis Cup matches from June 8 to June 12.
The main highlight of this recruitment is the unique opportunity to be at the very center of real big-time tennis. The top 15 ball kids will take part in an exhibition match on May 23 featuring world tennis legends Simona Halep and Juan Martin del Potro, as well as Moldovan players Radu Albot and Lia Belibova. They will step onto the court and assist during the exhibition match alongside the stars, but the entire ball kid team—and only them—will also participate in a masterclass with these players, take a group photo with tennis legends, and have the chance to get autographs from any of the four players.
All events will be held at the National Tennis Center (NTC).
Working as a ball kid is not just helping on the court. It is real experience of participating in an international tournament, a chance to see professional tennis from the inside and feel the atmosphere of top-level competition.
During their work, participants will be provided with official uniforms, meals on working days, a comfortable rest area, and constant supervision by the organizers. Essentially, it is a sports camp format where children become part of a major event.
