The President of the Moldovan Tennis Federation, Ceslav Ciuhrii, presented the National Tennis Centre and spoke about the Federation’s work in developing junior tennis, organising international competitions, and implementing projects in partnership with international sports organisations.

During her visit to the National Tennis Centre, Ambassador Iwona Piórko expressed her appreciation for the scale of the project and the excellent conditions created for the development of young athletes.

According to the Ambassador, it is especially important that modern sports infrastructure provides children and young people with the opportunity to grow, train in outstanding conditions, pursue sporting excellence, and benefit from the educational values of sport.

Opened in 2025, the National Tennis Centre is now the largest dedicated tennis complex in the Republic of Moldova. It hosts the country’s most important international tennis events, including ATP Challenger, Davis Cup, Billie Jean King Cup, ITF, and Tennis Europe tournaments, as well as national championships and player development programmes for young athletes.
